By creating an account or using Aurelle, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
3. Description of service
Aurelle is an AI-powered personal fashion assistant. The service includes:
- Wardrobe digitisation — upload photos of your clothing items; AI analyses each garment to identify attributes such as colour, category, pattern, and fabric.
- Outfit suggestions — AI generates outfit combinations from your wardrobe, tailored to your style preferences, body profile, local weather, and calendar events.
- Shopping recommendations — suggestions for items to fill wardrobe gaps, with links to third-party retailers.
- Style analytics — insights into your wardrobe composition and wearing habits.
- Magic Start — a curated starter wardrobe of 75 essential items to eliminate the cold-start problem and enable outfit generation from day one.
- Calendar integration — optionally connect your Google Calendar for occasion-appropriate outfit suggestions (read-only access).
AI accuracy disclaimer: AI analysis of garments (colour detection, category classification, fabric identification, etc.) is approximate and may contain errors. Outfit recommendations are AI-generated suggestions for inspiration — they do not constitute professional styling, fashion, or personal shopping advice.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account (GDPR minimum age for consent in Germany).
- You must provide a valid email address to register.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
- You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. This permanently and irreversibly removes all your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Aurelle reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

If you subscribe to a paid plan:
- Payment processing: subscriptions are billed through Apple (App Store), Google (Play Store), or Stripe (web), depending on your platform. Aurelle never receives, processes, or stores your payment card details.
- Auto-renewal: subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- How to cancel: manage your subscription through your App Store settings (iOS), Google Play settings (Android), or account settings (web). Aurelle cannot cancel subscriptions on your behalf for platform-managed subscriptions.
- Free trials: if a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Trial eligibility is limited to one per user.
- Refunds: refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by Apple and Google per their respective refund policies. For web subscriptions via Stripe, contact us at hello@aurelle.app.
- Price changes: we may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change applies to their next renewal. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.
6. Intellectual property
Your content:
- You retain full ownership of all photos, data, and content you upload to Aurelle.
- By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to process it solely for the purpose of providing the service (e.g. generating outfit suggestions, removing image backgrounds, identifying garment attributes).
- This licence terminates immediately when you delete your account or the relevant content.
- No AI training: Aurelle does not use your photos to train AI models. Your images are processed for analysis only and are not shared publicly or used beyond your individual account.
- If you opt in to community image sharing, you grant us a licence to use fully anonymised versions of your garment photos to improve the service. You can revoke this at any time from your profile.
- User-generated content (outfit feedback, wear logs, style ratings) may be used in anonymised, aggregated form to improve recommendation quality across the service. This aggregated data cannot be traced back to individual users.
Our content:
- The Aurelle application, brand, design, code, and all associated intellectual property are owned by Elena Schulte Ladbeck.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from Aurelle without prior written permission.
7. AI-generated content

- We do not guarantee the accuracy, suitability, safety, or completeness of any AI-generated content.
- AI analysis of garments (colour, category, pattern, fabric) is approximate and may contain errors.
- AI outputs may occasionally be inaccurate, unexpected, or unsuitable for your needs or occasion.
- Use your own judgement when making fashion or purchasing decisions based on AI suggestions.
- Aurelle is not liable for any decisions you make based on AI-generated suggestions.
8. Shopping & affiliate links
- Shopping recommendations may contain affiliate links. If affiliate partnerships are active, Aurelle may earn a small commission on purchases made through these links. This does not affect the price you pay.
- Product availability, pricing, sizing, and images are provided by third-party retailers and may change without notice.
- We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their products, pricing, delivery, returns, or customer service.
- Purchases are governed entirely by the respective retailer's terms and conditions.

Aurelle reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
10. Service availability
We strive to keep Aurelle available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control (force majeure). We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Aurelle is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
- AI recommendations are suggestions only — Aurelle is not liable for fashion choices, purchases, or outfit suitability resulting from AI-generated content.
- Aurelle is not liable for third-party retailer issues including but not limited to: incorrect sizing, product quality, delivery delays or failures, returns, or customer service disputes.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the total subscription fees you have paid to Aurelle in the 12 months preceding the claim, or EUR 50, whichever is greater.
Mandatory consumer rights: Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for gross negligence (grobe Fahrlässigkeit), wilful misconduct (Vorsatz), or liability that cannot be excluded under German law, including injury to life, body, or health (§§ 309 Nr. 7, 309 Nr. 8 BGB). Your statutory consumer rights under EU and German law remain unaffected.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Elena Schulte Ladbeck and Aurelle from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the service. This does not apply to the extent that you are not responsible for the breach.

By using Aurelle, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing law & jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does not apply.
If you are a consumer residing in the EU, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence. You retain the right to bring claims in the courts of your country of residence. Disputes may also be resolved in the competent courts in Germany.
The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution (ODR) platform for consumers at: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obligated and generally not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, but will consider participation on a case-by-case basis.
15. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its original intent.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of Aurelle after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you may delete your account before the changes take effect.
