Your style,
understood.
Most apps ask you to pick from five preset aesthetics. aurelle learns your actual style — through what you like, what you skip, and what you wear — then uses it to personalise every outfit suggestion.
aurelle's Style Persona maps your taste across an 8-dimension radar chart and builds an Aesthetic DNA moodboard, giving the AI a precise read on your style so recommendations feel like you. It's included on every plan and refined over time as you rate outfits.
Style DNA: swipe-based preference learning
When you first join aurelle, you're shown a series of curated outfit images. Swipe right on looks you love. Swipe left on looks that aren't you. It takes about two minutes and feels more like browsing Instagram than filling out a questionnaire.
Each swipe teaches the AI something specific about your taste. It's not just recording "likes this dress" — it's extracting patterns across multiple dimensions: the colour palette you gravitate toward, the silhouette shapes that catch your eye, the formality level you're drawn to, the textures and patterns that resonate.
The images are carefully curated to cover a wide range of styles, body types, and occasions — so the AI can distinguish between what you love universally and what you love in specific contexts.
Persona: your style in eight dimensions
From your Style DNA swipes, aurelle builds a Style Persona — a multi-dimensional profile of your aesthetic taste, visualised as a radar chart across eight axes:
Classic ↔ Avant-garde
Do you lean toward timeless silhouettes or experimental shapes? Tailored blazers or deconstructed layers?
Minimalist ↔ Maximalist
Clean lines and neutral palettes, or bold prints, layered accessories, and colour mixing?
Structured ↔ Relaxed
Crisp tailoring and defined shoulders, or soft drapes, oversized fits, and fluid fabrics?
Neutral ↔ Chromatic
Black, white, beige, and navy as your foundation, or a wardrobe built around colour?
Understated ↔ Statement
Quiet luxury and subtle details, or pieces that announce themselves from across the room?
Contemporary ↔ Vintage
Current-season shapes and finishes, or vintage-inspired cuts, retro patterns, and heritage fabrics?
Practical ↔ Decorative
Function-first dressing where every item earns its place, or styling as self-expression with decorative elements?
Uniform ↔ Eclectic
A consistent daily formula with minor variations, or a wardrobe that shifts dramatically by mood and occasion?
Your Persona isn't a label. It's a nuanced map of where you sit on each spectrum — and most people aren't at the extremes. You might be 70% minimalist but 80% chromatic: someone who loves clean lines but in bold colour. That combination produces very different outfit suggestions than "minimalist" alone.
Always evolving
Your Style Persona isn't frozen after the initial swipe session. It evolves continuously based on your actual behaviour:
- Outfits you wear. Every time you log an outfit as worn, the AI notes which stylistic elements you chose to actually put on your body — the strongest signal of true preference.
- Outfits you skip. When the AI suggests an outfit and you swipe past it, that's data too. Repeated skips of a particular style nudge your Persona away from it.
- Items you upload. The clothes you own tell a story. When you add new items to your wardrobe, the AI reads the stylistic signals — colour, structure, formality — and incorporates them.
- Build Your Own choices. When you create outfits manually, the combinations you choose reveal taste the AI couldn't infer from individual items alone.
- Seasonal shifts. Your style in July might differ from your style in December. The AI tracks these patterns and adjusts suggestions seasonally.
You're not locked in. If your style changes — a new job, a move to a new city, a shift in what feels right — your Persona adapts naturally over a few weeks of new behaviour. You can also retake the Style DNA swipe session at any time for an immediate reset.
How your Persona shapes suggestions
Your Style Persona isn't a decorative profile card. It actively drives every outfit the AI generates:
- Colour selection. If your Persona leans chromatic, the AI suggests bolder colour combinations. If neutral, it builds around your core palette with occasional accent pieces.
- Silhouette choices. Structured Personas get more tailored combinations. Relaxed Personas see more fluid, oversized, and draped suggestions.
- Pattern mixing. Maximalist Personas get multi-pattern outfits where the AI carefully balances scale and contrast. Minimalist Personas see one pattern at most, used as a focal point.
- Formality calibration. Your Persona's formality range tells the AI how far to push or pull occasion-appropriate dressing. Some people dress up for the supermarket. Others dress down for the office. The AI learns which one you are.
- Risk tolerance. How often should the AI suggest combinations you haven't tried before? Your Persona's position on the uniform–eclectic spectrum controls this. Eclectic Personas see more experimental suggestions. Uniform Personas see refined variations on proven formulas.
Aesthetic DNA moodboard
Beyond the radar chart, aurelle generates an Aesthetic DNA moodboard — a visual collage that represents your style essence. It's built from the patterns the AI has learned about your taste: the colours, textures, moods, and references that define your personal aesthetic.
The moodboard updates as your Persona evolves, giving you a visual mirror of how the AI sees your style. It's also a powerful tool for self-reflection — sometimes seeing your taste visualised reveals patterns you hadn't consciously noticed.
Shareable
Your Style Persona and Aesthetic DNA moodboard are exportable as a Style DNA card — a beautifully designed shareable image showing your radar chart, your dominant aesthetic traits, and your moodboard. Share it on Instagram Stories, send it to friends, or save it as a personal style reference.
It's a conversation starter: "I'm 85% minimalist, 70% structured, and 90% chromatic — what are you?"
